I'm a senior at the University of North Dakota majoring in Communications. As a D1 athlete, I've spent 15 years on the football field, and every setback taught me what true resilience looks like.
From playing safety in high school to navigating the JUCO system, transferring to Stephen F Austin University, and facing 4 concussions that ended my playing career - I learned that your biggest obstacles become your greatest strengths.
After driving 23 hours from Texas back to California, I had a choice: give up or get back up. I chose to fight. I returned to JUCO, switched back to safety, and had one of the best seasons of my life. Now I'm playing at UND, but more importantly - I'm helping others discover the same mental toughness that got me through the darkest times.
Through my work in visual communication, I've developed skills in storytelling that allow me to share powerful narratives and inspire others who face their own challenges.
